These are the biggest caverns in Texas --- yes,
even by Texas standard! The sheer size of this cave is just amazing and
spectacular. It almost seems unimaginable that a cave like this can even
exist and be accessible from a small entrance. Last time when I was there
I was allowed to bring a tripod with me. Tours are very friendly too, you
don't have to stick with one group. I think that is in part because of
that fact that these caverns are very accessible and well lit, they don't
worry too much about you getting lost. Unfortunately, last time when I
was there it was a rather casual tour (as opposed to dedicated picture
taking tours). I didn't get many good shots. I will certainly go back there
again, and next time I will try tungsten films for sure (if tripods are
still allowed, I am keeping my fingers crossed).
